Colourful Farmland

Inspired by a visit to the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam, I painted this landscape because it reminded me of southwestern Ontario’s beautiful farmland.
I lived in Toronto at this time of this painting so I think I was missing my hometown of Chatham, Ontario and the beauty of these landscapes. Adding in the bright colours was the shout out to Van Gogh!
